Welcome to Hinesburg
Hinesburg is a rural community with an easy commute to Burlington, the University of Vermont, and Lake Champlain's outdoor activities. With about 40 square miles of pristine landscape, the town's 4,600 residents enjoy a short drive to Killington Mountain Resort and the ferry in Charlotte that sails across Lake Champlain to New York. Hinesburg is also near Camel's Hump State Park for hiking, biking, and camping. The charming town center is bisected by Route 116 in the valley of the Platte River.
Papa Nick's Family Restaurant and the Hinesberg Public House are local favorites for casual dining while the Cedar Knoll Country Club offers 27 holes of golf, a casual dining and banquet hall that seats 120, and has a sunny open-air deck overlooking the course. Living so close to the major municipalities of Burlington and Montpelier - yet in a quiet country town - is what makes Hinesburg an appealing and relaxing place to call home.
